Para calcular la capacitancia en faradios, cerci\u00f3rese de que las distancias est\u00e1n en metros y use el valor del SI del eo. Cuando verifique la consistencia de las unidades, recuerde que las unidades para los campos el\u00e9ctricos pueden ser N\/C o V\/m.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li class=\"Estilo24\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cuando dos o m\u00e1s capacitores desiguales se conectan en serie, tienen la misma carga pero las diferencias de potencial no son iguales. Sus capacitancias se suman como inversos y la capacitancia equivalente de la combinaci\u00f3n siempre es menor que la del capacitor individual m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"Estilo24\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cuando dos o mas capacitores est\u00e1n conectados en paralelo, la diferencia de potencial en cada uno es la misma. La carga en cada capacitor es proporcional a su capacitancia; por lo tanto, las capacitancias se suman directamente para dar la capacitancia equivalente de la combinaci\u00f3n en paralelo.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"Estilo24\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El efecto de un diel\u00e9ctrico es aumentar la capacitancia de un capacitor en un factor\u00a0<em>k<\/em>\u00a0(constante\u00a0 diel\u00e9ctrica) sobre su capacitancia en vac\u00edo. La raz\u00f3n para esto es que las cargas superficiales inducidas sobre el diel\u00e9ctrico reducen el campo el\u00e9ctrico dentro del material de E a E\/k.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"Estilo24\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tenga cuidado con problemas en los cuales usted pueda conectar o desconectar una bater\u00eda a un capacitor. Es importante advertir si se est\u00e1n realizando modificaciones en el capacitor mientras \u00e9ste se conecta a la bater\u00eda o despu\u00e9s de que se ha desconectado. Si el capacitor permanece conectado a la bater\u00eda, el voltaje permanece invariable (igual al voltaje de la bater\u00eda), y la carga es proporcional al capacitor independientemente de que haya la posibilidad de modificarlo (por ejemplo insertando un diel\u00e9ctrico). Si usted desconecta el capacitor de la bater\u00eda antes de hacer cualquier modificaci\u00f3n al capacitor, entonces su carga permanece igual.
